Abstract
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin, Batı bloğuna eklemlenme politikası açısından Kore Savaşı büyük bir öneme sahiptir. II. Dünya Savaşı’nın bitişi ile Soğuk Savaş dönemine girilmiştir. Dünya, Doğu ve Batı bloğu olmak üzere iki kutba bölünmüştür. II. Dünya Savaşı’nda Türkiye tarafsız kalma politikasını başarıyla sürdürmüş ve fiilen savaşa girmemiştir. II. Dünya Savaşı’nın bitişi ile Türkiye, Sovyet Rusya’nın ağır tehditleri ile karşılaşmıştır. Bu durumda, Türkiye, Batı Bloğuna yaklaşmıştır. Batılı devletler, Türkiye’nin dış politikasından rahatsızlık duymuşlar, dolayısıyla Soğuk Savaş döneminin ilk büyük mücadelesinde Türkiye’nin desteğini göstermesini talep etmişlerdir. Yani Türkiye, Batı Bloğuna katılmak istiyorsa bedelini ödemeliydi. Bu önemli virajda, Türk dış politikasında belirleyici olan süreçlerden biri hiç kuşkusuz Kore Savaşı’dır. Türkiye, bu savaşa dahil olarak NATO üyeliği açısından önemli bir adım atmıştır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin güncel hedeflerinden biri Avrupa Birliği’ne üye olmaktır. Dolayısıyla günümüz Türk dış politikasındaki gelişmelere de ışık tutması ve Türkiye’nin Batı sistemine dahil olmasının kapısını aralaması açısından, Kore Savaşı’nı değerlendirmek önemli bir projeksiyon olacaktır.

Abstract
The Korean War is of great importance for the Republic of Turkey's policy of joining the Western bloc. II. With the end of World War II, the Cold War period began. The world is divided into two poles: Eastern and Western bloc. II. During World War II, Türkiye successfully maintained its policy of remaining neutral and did not actually enter the war. II. With the end of World War II, Türkiye faced serious threats from Soviet Russia. In this case, Türkiye has approached the Western Bloc. Western states were disturbed by Turkey's foreign policy, so they demanded that Turkey show its support in the first major struggle of the Cold War era. In other words, if Türkiye wanted to join the Western Bloc, it had to pay the price. At this important turning point, one of the decisive processes in Turkish foreign policy is undoubtedly the Korean War. By participating in this war, Turkey took an important step in terms of NATO membership. One of the current goals of the Republic of Türkiye is to become a member of the European Union. Therefore, evaluating the Korean War will be an important projection in terms of shedding light on the developments in today's Turkish foreign policy and opening the door for Turkey's inclusion in the Western system.
